We are looking for a dedicated and expereinced Maths Tutor to provide one-on-one or small-group tuition to students in New Market, Auckland. You will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that builds confidence and improves academic achievement.

Key Tasks:

  1. Assess individual student needs and current ability to develop tailored learning plans.

  2. Deliver engaging, clear, and structured lessons in person or online, covering the New Zealand Mathematics Curriculum (NZC) from primary to NCEA levels.

  3. Explain complex mathematical concepts using real-world examples and practical problem-solving techniques.

  4. Assign and review practice exercises, providing constructive feedback to reinforce learning and address gaps.

  5. Prepare students for specific goals, including school exams, NCEA assessments, and scholarship tests.

  6. Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and adjustments to the learning plan.
