We are looking for an experienced Martial Arts Instructor who is qualified to teach Taolu and/or Sanda. These are permanent roles and require the successful candidate to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The Wushu Development Trust is a charitable trust dedicated to promoting and fostering the arts of Wushu, Taichi, and Sanda (along with other Chinese Martial Arts) in Aotearoa.
The Wushu Development Trust is looking for an experienced Martial Arts Instructor who is qualified to teach Wushu Taolu and/or Taichi. These are permanent roles and require the successful candidate to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The person will be asked to work primarily in Wellington, but at times, the person may travel to work in Auckland and any travel expenses will be paid for by the Trust.
Your remuneration will be commensurate with your qualification and experience ranging from $30 to $35 per hour.

In this role, you will be responsible for
- Provide training direction encouragement motivation advice to coach members of Wushu skills
- Plan organise and conduct practice sessions
- Explain and enforce safety rules and practices
- Plan and direct Wushu programmes to help members achieve their personal goals and optimal performance
- Instruct individuals or groups in Wushu rules strategies and performance principles.
Requirements:
The successful candidates must
- Have at least 3 years of previous experience in teaching Taolu and/or Taichi
- Have positive attitude and passion for Wushu teaching
- Have patience and empathy
- Have ability to work in harmony as part of a team
