and manage orchard operations, ensuring excellence in quality, safety, and productivity.

Position: Orchard Supervisor

Hourly rate: $27 - $30 per hour.

Guaranteed hours: 30 per week.

Maximum hours: 55 per week.

Location: Whakatane, Bay of Plenty

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Liaise with manager to plan and review contracts for supplying contract services.
  • Oversee all work undertaken on the orchards and report to senior management.
  • Ensure senior management is aware of any issues or concerns related to the contracts and report on any other matters require further attention.
  • Assist manager with training and induction of new staff.
  • Oversee the planning and co-ordinating of seasonal orchard activities.
  • Supervise the day to day running of the orchard while supervising staff and recording the work completed.
  • Ensure all staff members submit their weekly timesheets or tallies for wage payment.
  • Visit orchards and communicate with owners to ensure that work of the highest quality is performed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations as per the Company’s Health, Safety Environment Policy

Required Qualifications or Experience

  • Class 1 driving license
