Retail Manager

Pasifika Wholesale Limited is looking for full-time Retail Manager for our busy Supermarket in Wellington. You will be responsible for the store's operation and will provide excellent customer service. We guarantee a Minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate from $31.00 – 32.00/hour. You will be required to work as per the roster and be available on weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Plan, budget, organise and control the overall operations of the supermarket.

·         Review stock levels, product mix and place orders as necessary to meet business and customer demand.

·         Determine pricing of goods and establish service standards to ensure business profitability.

·         Promote and advertise the supermarket’s products and services, including in-store promotions and local marketing activities.

·         Formulate, develop and implement purchasing and marketing plans for the business.

·         Prepare, manage and monitor operational and financial budgets for the supermarket.

·         Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, stock movements and sales performance.

·         Sell goods to customers where required, discuss customer needs and provide product advice to maintain service standards.

·         Supervise store security, cash handling procedures and daily reconciliation processes.

·         Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, food safety regulations and relevant New Zealand legislation.

·         Recruit, select, train and supervise staff as required, including preparing staff rosters and allocating duties.

·         Oversee daily store administration, including maintaining operational records and reports.

·         Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery and appropriate stock supply.

·         Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform.

Pay rate: minimum $31.00 / hour - maximum $32.00 / hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 30 hours

Requirements for the job:

·         Hold a NZQF Diploma qualification or have at least two years of relevant work experience in management, or related fields.

·         Be available for full-time employment.

·         Ability to work under pressure on a busy supermarket

·         Possess motivational and leadership skills.
