CKR Construction NZ Ltd is looking for 5 Carpenters (full-time) to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be working a minimum of 30 hours per week, primarily working in Otago region, and you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and work sites to identify required materials.
• Assembling ladders and scaffolding.
• Installing waterproof sheets over eaves.
• Securing roofing underlay to roofs with nails and staples.
• Aligning the first row of roofing material with the roof edges and fastening it with wire, staples, and nails.
• Cutting roofing materials to fit around vents, chimneys, corners, and ridges.
• Using cement mortar to fix edge and ridge tiles.
• Placing roofing material under pre-fabricated flashing and nailing it down.
• Caulking and sealing exposed nail heads to prevent leaks.

About you:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in the same field OR
  • NZQCF relevant Level 4 qualification or above; No specific major is required if you have a Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Physically fit with a clear criminal record
