Welder

ALL.ROOFING Ltd is an Auckland-based roofing services company specialising in metal roofing and related structural work. We are currently seeking multiple Welders to join our team on a full-time basis, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Carry out welding and metal fabrication work to support roofing, structural installation, and related construction activities, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and project specifications.

Tasks Include 

• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, project plans, and measurements to determine welding requirements for roofing and structural components.
• Select and operate appropriate welding equipment and techniques (including MIG, TIG, and manual arc welding) based on material type and job specifications.
• Cut, fabricate, shape, and assemble metal components such as roofing supports, brackets, frames, and structural fittings.
• Set up and position metal components for welding, ensuring correct alignment and fit according to specifications.
• Prepare metal surfaces using angle grinders and cutting tools prior to welding.
• Perform welding operations in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions in workshop and on-site environments.
• Inspect welded joints and structures to identify defects and ensure strength, durability, and quality standards are met.
• Carry out routine maintenance of welding tools and equipment and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate must have:

• At least one Year of relevant work experience, OR a relevant level 4 or above qualification OR a Bachelor's qualification in any discipline.
