Banipal Transport Limited is currently looking for Heavy Truck Drivers with class 5
license and experience. This is a full-time permanent position based in Auckland.
We require 2 drivers. We have long haul runs including travelling from Auckland to
Christchurch and also Auckland to Wellington.  


Tasks and responsibilities:
 Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform
preventative maintenance.
 Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
 Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route
designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies
and procedures.
 Collect and verify delivery instructions.
 To ensure the truck is loaded appropriately and materials recorded correctly.
 Report defects, accidents or violations.
 Minimum working hours will be 30 per week on Monday to Friday. Some
weekend work may be required.
 Overnight stay may be required.
 Pay Rate $30 - $35per hour.


To be suitable for the role, you must:-
 Have a class 5 license.
 Have 2 years of experience operating line haul Truck & Trailers.
 Be physically fit for some potential lifting.
 Be able to work across weekends and outside normal working hours.
 Flexible with night and day shift hours.
 Must pass company induction.
 Be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test, and random drug
testing as required.
 Must pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record.
 Able to manoeuvre trucks into loading and / or unloading positions.
 Complete and manage Logbook.
 Will demonstrate initiative and possess good communication skills.
 Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazardous
conditions.
 Must be proficient in speaking English.
