Shift Supervisor at J Chauhan Limited (Convenience Store)- Lower Hutt, Wellington 
J Chauhan Limited, a well-established and busy convenience store located in Naenae,Lower Hutt, Wellington, is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Shift Supervisor to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting in-store operations, maintaining stock levels, and delivering top-notch service every time our customers visit. 
Key Responsibilities: 
As a Shift Supervisor, your duties will include: 
Overseeing Daily Operations: Manage the daily operations of the store, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and the environment is tidy, safe, and welcoming for customers.
Customer Service Excellence: Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner. Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure that all customers leave satisfied with their shopping experience.
Inventory and Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, place product orders, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise waste. Manage deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records.
Sales and Store Promotions: Assist in implementing in-store promotions and sales strategies. Ensure that the store meets sales targets and that products are displayed well and easily accessible.
Financial Management and Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, including register operations, balancing the cash drawer, and performing end-of-day cash reconciliations.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the store complies with all health and safety regulations, including safe food-handling procedures, cleanliness, and a secure working environment.
Qualifications and Skills: 
Tertiary qualification at or above certificate level 3 or relevant work experience of at least one year. 
Previous experience in retail, ideally in a convenience store or similar fast-paced environment. 
Strong leadership abilities and experience in shift management. 
Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and handle multiple tasks. 
Experience with cash handling, inventory control, and daily store operations. 
A friendly, professional attitude and a commitment to creating a positive customer experience. 
Hours and Pay: 
Minimum 30 hours and maximum 40 hours per week. Weekend and public holidays availability must.
Pay rate: $26 - $30 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
