Our business relies heavily on inventory systems, online sales platforms, supplier data integration, and performance reporting, which creates an ongoing need for a dedicated Database Administrator to manage and optimise our data infrastructure.
Job Summary
The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing Raytech’s core business databases that support e-commerce operations, inventory management, supplier data, sales reporting, and internal systems.
This role is critical to ensuring data accuracy, system stability, and secure access across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain company databases supporting:

Online sales platforms
-
Inventory and stock control systems
-
Supplier and product data
-
Internal reporting and analytics

Design, optimise, and maintain SQL Server–based databases, ensuring performance and scalability

Monitor database health, performance, backups, and recovery procedures

Support data extraction, transformation, and reporting for management and operational teams

Assist with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure) and system integrations with overseas suppliers

Implement data security controls, user permissions, and audit monitoring

Troubleshoot data issues affecting ordering, stock accuracy, pricing, or reporting

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system procedures, and data standards
- Contribute to system scalability planning and support database infrastructure performance within cloud and server environments.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analystic or a related field; or
- At least 5 years of proven experience in database analysis, database management, database engineering
- Understanding of database security principles and data protection practices
- Strong committement to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
