Custodial/Cleaning Position

 We have a vacancy for a Custodial/Cleaning type Position in the Central City at The Terrace Complex.

 About the Position

• Immediate start if suits
• Days & Hours - Generally: Tuesday through to Sunday – 6:00am through to 9:00am, however sometimes you will be needed on the Monday and/or Tuesday as well.
• Let us know if you want Full Time work as we could add to this Position
• This is a very challenging Position requiring lots of walking around the complex, up and down stairs and around a large paved piazza area.
• As there are lots of bars and restaurants in this complex there are some very challenging cleaning tasks to complete on a daily basis.

·         Tasks include

-          Lots of rubbish pick up

-          Lots of sweeping up

-          Vacuum cleaning pedestrian areas

-          Washing/Scrubbing down of tiles, floors, walls, stairs etc

-          Checking /cleaning bathrooms

-          Scraping chewing gum

-          Gross cleaning and disinfecting

-          Glass cleaning

-          Stainless Steel cleaning

-          Ordering/Managing stores/cleaning supplies

-          Small maintenance jobs

-          Liaising with other Contractors

-          Liaising with Client

-          Operating a large cardboard baling machine

About Us - Deemac Services

•          Has a team of part time and full time Staff, many who have been with us in excess of 5 years (pretty good for a Cleaning Company), and some more than 10 years
•          Has Supervisors and Team Leaders that roll up their sleeves and help and support the whole Team, they don't just sit back and direct others
•          Has good long term Customers that are loyal and who refer us to others
•          Pay Rate will depend on your experience and willingness to “do the job”
•          Starting Rate $25 - $30 per hour

 About You - tell us

•         What experience you have, if you have cleaned up this type of mess before
•          If you can stomach the Gross clean-ups
•          If you have a NZ Drivers License
•          If you are reliable & punctual, will you keep fronting up for work on time
•          If you can commit to more than just a couple of weeks work. This is a long term Position
•          It you are fit and healthy (you will need to be for this Position, it will certainly keep you fit)
