Kiara & Virat Enterprises Limited, trading as Kawerau Food Market and Lotto, is seeking a Store Manager to join our team in Kawerau, Bay of Plenty. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with strong leadership and communication skills, responsible for
overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all daily store operations to ensure a customer-focused, efficient, and smoothly functioning environment.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term operational plans to achieve sales targets, meet seasonal demands, and support overall business objectives.
• Oversee inventory management, including regular stock checks and timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Liaise with existing suppliers and source new vendors to improve product variety and quality.
• Delegate responsibilities to store staff and monitor performance to maintain operational efficiency and consistent service standards.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff training to build a capable and cohesive team.
• Ensure high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and customer service by enforcing staff conduct and grooming standards.
• Plan and execute visual merchandising and promotional displays to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
• Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Prepare and manage store budgets, monitor sales performance, manage wage costs, and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement using sound business judgment.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to enhance team skills and overall morale.
• Foster a positive workplace culture through recognition, motivation, and performance- based incentives.
• Lead by example, actively contributing to the store’s overall success and growth.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $27 to $35 per hour based on your skills and experience.
Requirements for the Role:
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, or a Level 5 qualification in a related field.
• Flexible and available to work weekends, early mornings, and evening shifts as required.
• Proven leadership and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
