Iclean Services is a commercial and domestic cleaning company based in Auckland. We are expanding and seek a capable People and Culture Manager to lead our staff and act as a key point of contact for our clients.
About the role
This is a full‑time, hands‑on position covering staff management, training, payroll administration and some client‑facing business development in the commercial cleaning sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Staff training & management: Developing and implementing HR/training policies and procedures; onboarding and training new staff; coordinating ongoing training; enforcing cleaning, health and safety standards; organising and managing rosters, leave and general staffing matters.
- Payroll & personnel administration: Managing employee payroll and maintaining accurate employment and personnel records.
- Business development: Visiting sites to prepare quotes, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the growth of our commercial cleaning portfolio.
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and confident working in a busy cleaning environment.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or Sociology.
- At least two years’ experience in a professional cleaning company in New Zealand.
- Experience (minimum one year) in designing and delivering structured training and development programmes.
- Full, valid driving licence.
- Professional, tidy presentation and clear communication skills, as you will often be client‑facing.
- Fluency in Spanish is an advantage, as many of our employees are from South America and have limited English.
Hours and flexibility
- Full‑time position, worked on a roster within our standard operating hours (generally between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday).
- Some flexibility is required to occasionally supervise new staff in workplace cleans, which can run in the evening, as late as 11:00 p.m. (these hours will be rostered in advance and fall within your full‑time allocation).
