Taj Holdings Limited seeks Class 5 Truck Drivers to transport goods safely and efficiently across the Tauranga region. The role ensures timely deliveries, compliance with transport regulations, and high customer service standards.

Position Title: Truck Driver (Class 5)
Number of Positions: 5
Location: Tauranga Region, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $28 - $36 per hour 
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience OR Level 2 Qualification.
  • AND Valid Class 5 New Zealand driver’s licence Or Equivalent International License

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 5 heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Transport goods to designated delivery points in line with schedules.
  • Load and unload freight while ensuring cargo is secured correctly.
  • Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle safety checks.
  • Maintain accurate transport logs and delivery documentation.
  • Comply with all NZTA road transport and health & safety regulations.
  • Follow fatigue management and work time requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management teams.
  • Report vehicle defects, incidents, or delays promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles.
  • Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
