You will diagnose issues to their true root causes and work in a self-directed manner as you plan maintenance activities, manage spare parts and coordinate resources across the site. A key part of your role will involve training and supporting operators to build their technical understanding and strengthen routine check capabilities, helping to lift overall plant performance.

This is a hands-on, impact-focused position where your engineering expertise will directly contribute to safer, more reliable and more efficient production.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximise uptime and extend asset life
  • Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Operate the maintenance schedule, log work, track downtime and maintain accurate maintenance data
  • Coordinate external contractors and service providers and liaise with internal teams to support maintenance and projects
  • Manage spare parts and tools: organise stock, set min/max levels, order components and track usage
  • Prepare clear reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities and incident investigations
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support capital and engineering projects, including design review, installation, commissioning, and handover

What You’ll Bring to the Table

You are a self-motivated engineer with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to your work. You bring exceptional diagnostic and fault-finding skills, even when working with unfamiliar equipment. You have solid maintenance or engineering experience, ideally within a processing environment.

Familiar with JSA, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO procedures, you also understand OSH guidelines and safe work practices. You communicate clearly and confidently, knowing when to escalate issues and when to collaborate and you enjoy sharing knowledge with operators to help build capability across the team.
