Heer Contracting Limited seeks Fruit Production Supervisors to manage orchard operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe and efficient fruit production. The role supports crop quality, compliance, and productivity across Bay of Plenty orchards.

Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 4
Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $28 – $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience OR Level 4 Qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily fruit production and orchard activities.
  • Monitor plant health, crop growth, and fruit quality.
  • Ensure correct irrigation, fertilisation, and pest and disease control practices.
  • Allocate tasks and supervise orchard workers and seasonal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Train workers in safe work practices and horticultural techniques.
  • Plan and implement seasonal activities such as pruning, thinning, and harvesting.
  • Maintain production records and orchard operation documentation.
  • Oversee safe use and basic maintenance of orchard tools and machinery.
  • Liaise with management regarding production targets and operational issues.
