Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dance Teacher to join the WeDance teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured dance classes, developing students’ technical and performance skills, and supporting the ongoing development of WeDance’s dance programs.
This is a full-time role requiring 35–40 hours of work per week. Teaching schedules are organised in advance; however, the role requires flexibility in working hours, as classes may be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends to meet student learning needs.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver structured dance lessons in accordance with the studio curriculum and learning objectives

Instruct students in dance techniques, movement skills, choreography, rhythm, musicality, and performance skills

Adapt teaching methods to suit students of varying ages, abilities, and learning needs

Observe, assess, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

Prepare students for performances, showcases, examinations, competitions, and other assessments where applicable

Demonstrate dance techniques and movements clearly and accurately to support effective learning

Maintain student attendance records, lesson plans, and progress notes

Ensure a safe, supportive, and professional teaching environment, including appropriate supervision and injury prevention

Contribute to curriculum refinement, choreography development, and studio teaching resources

Communicate professionally with students and parents regarding learning progress, goals, and studio expectations

Participate in studio meetings, training sessions, performances, and other WeDance activities as required
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dance, Music, Performing Arts, or a closely related discipline;
OR -
At least two years of relevant dance teaching experience in a professional or structured teaching environment
