Tractor Driver

R&R 13 Limited is a company providing horticultural services and is currently seeking a Tractor Driver to join its team in the Waikato region. This role requires a hardworking and reliable individual who can support day-to-day horticultural operations.

Key Duties:

• Operate tractors and associated machinery safely to carry out a variety of farming tasks.
• Use tractors, loaders, and forklifts to lift, stack, transport, and load bins onto trucks.
• Verify loading documentation for accuracy and ensure all machinery and vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on tractors and other agricultural equipment.
• Inspect tractors and attachments, including ploughs, rollers, and graders, to ensure they are properly maintained and adequately lubricated.
• Use tractors to tow implements and transport farm produce and materials as required.
• Operate tractors equipped with laser levelling systems to prepare fields efficiently.
• Promptly report any equipment faults, hazards, or safety concerns to the Farm Manager or relevant personnel.
• Maintain constant awareness while operating machinery and strictly follow speed limits and farm safety procedures.
• Load and unload equipment and materials carefully, ensuring safe and controlled handling at all times.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 and $35 per hour, subject to skills and experience.

Other Important Requirements:

• A minimum of three years’ relevant work experience is required.
• A valid driver’s licence (NZ or overseas).
• Proven ability to identify workplace hazards and take appropriate steps to ensure safety.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and comply with established operational procedures.
• High level of concentration with excellent hand–eye coordination to operate machinery accurately and safely.
