Job Description

-        Performs a full range of hairdressing services, including cutting, styling, colouring, straightening, permanent waving, and treating hair and scalp conditions.

-        Advises clients on appropriate hair care routines, beauty products, and suitable hairstyles.

-        Washes hair and applies scalp conditioning treatments.

-        Applies chemical solutions for hair colouring, straightening, and permanent waving.

-        Cuts and shapes hair using scissors, clippers, and razors.

-        Creates specialised styles such as braids and dreadlocks, and fits hair extensions.

-        Maintains a clean and hygienic work environment by sanitising tools and workstations.

-        Manages client appointments and keep effective communication with clients.

Requirements

-        A minimum of two years of relevant, verifiable work experience.

-        Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required.

-        Up-to-date knowledge of current hairdressing and barbering trends, and a wide range of hairdressing techniques and styles.

-        Sound understanding of different hair and skin types and their reactions to chemical treatments, including colouring products.

-        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-        Strong knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

-        A clean criminal record.
