Bubblescrub NZ is a mobile laundry service in Auckland, New Zealand, providing convenient pickup and delivery laundry solutions for residential and commercial clients. Bubblescrub NZ’s services include wash-and-fold, professional ironing, and care for bedding, linens, and other textiles, supported by an easy booking system and secure online payment options.
We are seeking 3 highly skilled Ironing & Pressing Specialists to deliver professional ironing services for commercial and residential clients. This role requires expert ironing skills, as client items include high-end, delicate, and specialty fabrics, demanding precision and fabric-specific handling.
A one-week paid training period will be provided to align successful candidates with Bubblescrub NZ’s standards and processes; however, applicants must already have strong professional ironing experience, as training is intended to refine existing expertise rather than teach basic skills.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Ironing & Pressing

Perform daily ironing and pressing as the primary duty

Efficiently handle high-volume loads of garments, linens, and delicate fabrics

Operate ironing equipment safely and maintain it in optimal condition
- Proper folding and garment presentation standards
Quality Control

Conduct systematic quality checks before and after ironing

Identify and correct defects such as burns, creases, fabric damage, or inconsistent finishing

Maintain consistent, high-quality standards across all client items
Fabric & Equipment Expertise

Apply appropriate ironing heat levels for different fabrics

Handle delicate and specialty fabrics with care
Flexibility & Operational Coverage

Work early (from 5:00 AM) or late (up to 11:00 PM) shifts as required

Work 5 days per week (including weekdays and weekends)

Adapt to changes in workload and urgent ironing demands
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of daily output, quality issues, and corrective actions

Report operational risks or recurring issues to management

Physical Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience

New Zealand citizen or resident visa

Minimum 6 months of professional ironing experience in a commercial or structured laundry setting

Reside in Auckland

Proven ability to handle high-volume ironing and maintain strict quality standards
