Working Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent Agreement, Full-Time

Job Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ relevant accounting or finance experience 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance field (Relevant work experience may be waived if have formal qualification)

Skills & Knowledge:

Preparing and analysing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports

Maintaining accurate accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable

Monitoring cash flow, income and expenditure to ensure the financial stability of the business

Communicating with customers to follow up on completed jobs and outstanding payments

Accurately recording work tasks, financial transactions, and related documentation in the company’s accounting and IT systems

Preparing and lodging GST returns and assisting with tax compliance requirements

Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with employment-related financial obligations

Conducting financial analysis to support business planning and management decision-making

Reviewing accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls

Liaising with external accountants, auditors, banks, and relevant regulatory authorities

Ensuring compliance with New Zealand financial regulations and internal company policies
