Auckland Roofing Contractors Limited provides end-to-end roofing installation and production services for residential and commercial developments throughout Auckland. As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Production Manager to manage production planning, resource coordination, and quality control across multiple roofing projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Plan, organise, and oversee roofing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of residential and commercial projects.
• Develop and implement production plans, work programmes, and resource allocation aligned with project timelines and business objectives.
• Monitor workflow performance, output quality, and efficiency, taking corrective action to address delays, defects, or resource constraints.
• Supervise site supervisors, leading hands, and roofing teams to ensure work is completed to specification and company standards.
• Liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely supply of roofing materials and control production costs.
• Analyse production costs, labour efficiency, and material usage, implementing improvements to reduce waste and improve profitability.
• Maintain production records, progress reports, and operational documentation for management review and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with management, project managers, and clients to resolve operational issues and ensure project requirements are met.
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and equipment to optimise productivity across multiple roofing sites.
• Identify process improvements, introduce productivity enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across roofing operations.
• Train, and develop production staff, ensuring skill levels meet operational and safety requirements.
• Oversee quality control processes, including inspection of completed roofing works such as cladding, flashings, gutters, and waterproofing systems.
• Ensure compliance with the New Zealand Building Code, relevant roofing standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Manage health and safety systems across production operations, ensuring safe work practices, and incident prevention.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $35 to $45 per hour.
Other requirements for the role:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Available to work on weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Competent in production planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Effective communicator with site teams, management, and suppliers.
