Job Summary

As the Store Manager at Anju Food Limited, you will oversee the store's day-to-day operations, including the kitchen, retail service areas, and delivery services. Your role will involve ensuring exceptional customer experiences, leading and developing the store team, maintaining operational standards, and contributing to the store's performance and compliance. You will play a key role in operational decision-making at the store level.

Job Description:

A Minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week.

At least two years of relevant work experience or a level 5 qualification in Business or
Hospitality.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and motivate staff, train, develop and support staff, according to company policies. Plan and assist with staff training. Work with supervisors to create product knowledge training.
  • Undertake regular performance reviews of all staff. Give staff feedback so they perform well and develop their skills.
  • Plan, forecast and anticipate sales, costs and shop performance, according to company requirements. Be aware & prepared for events in the local area that may affect your sales.
  • Plan and implement shop merchandising so as to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, appearance and image.
  • Work with all staff to ensure customer service is valued and seen as a core competency, thus ensuring all customers receive an excellent shopping experience. Manage selling and customer service activities so as to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  •  Manage costs and overheads, such as phone calls, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the shop.
  • Manage, maintain and report as necessary all merchandise and non-merchandise stock. Check off all incoming stock and mark variances on packing slip. Ensure correct stock holdings of all items at all times. Be prepared for seasonal, promotional and style changes.
  • Ensuring communication between your team. Making sure they have current up to date information.
  • Expect & encourage full participation in store goals & developing plans.
  • Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures and fabric of shop premises.
  • Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicate this to relevant departments in the Company.
  • Manage and maintain effectiveness of IT and other essential in-store systems. Attend meetings and contribute to company progress and future.
  • Show staff how to increase their sales by being a leader on the sales floor.
