The Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, driving sales, and delivering exceptional service. Your ability to prospect, qualify leads, and convert them into loyal customers will be critical to your success.
Position Details:
- Type: Permanent, full-time
- Start: Early Jan 2026
- Location: William Durant Drive, Upper Hutt
- Roster:
- Monday to Friday: 06:30 AM – 01:30 PM
- Saturday: 06:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and convert new clients through outbound calls.
- Build rapport, understand customer needs, and recommend suitable products.
- Negotiate and close sales, consistently exceeding targets.
- Handle inbound calls and process orders via phone, voicemail, and email.
- Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce.
- Communicate new offerings to customers.
- Enter orders in Sage, liaise with procurement, and ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and follow up on outstanding credits.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in customer service, outbound tele-sales, or similar roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is highly advantageous.
- Tertiary qualification preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Resilience in handling rejection and effective negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the food service industry is a plus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
