Tasks and responsibilities:

·      Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before starting each job

·      Identifying and selecting the right materials, cleaning and preparing metal stock

·      Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

·      Fitting and assembling metal components

·      Fabricating parts together and metal finishing as specified

·      Attaching fittings and completing the product build

·      Quality checks on completed products

·      Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks against specifications

·      At all times using supplied PPE.

·      Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe;

·      Assisting team members in other sections as directed.

Successful candidates will also need to be/have:

·      Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same industry/field, OR

·      Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates.

·      a great team player, be able to follow instructions

·      physically fit and willingness to work hard

·      Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively

·      "can-do" attitude
