The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture joinery and building components accurately and efficiently. The role ensures production meets quality standards, safety requirements, and production schedules.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

·       Set up and operate CNC machines for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials

·       Read and follow job specifications, drawings, and cutting lists

·       Load and unload materials safely

·       Monitor machine operation and ensure accuracy of finished products

·       Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance

·       Identify and report faults or defects

·       Maintain a clean and safe working environment

·       Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

 

Essential

·       Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a CNC Machine Operator

·       Experience operating CNC machinery in joinery, cabinetry, or manufacturing

·       Ability to read technical drawings and measurements

·       Good attention to detail and accuracy

·       Basic computer skills

·       Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

Desirable

·       Qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or joinery

·       Experience with CNC programming software

·       Experience with wood-based or panel products
