The Carpenter / Joiner / Installer is responsible for carrying out carpentry, joinery, and installation work on residential and commercial projects. This role supports construction, renovation, and fit-out projects while ensuring work is completed to required quality, safety, and building standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

·       Carry out carpentry and joinery work as required on site and in workshop

·       Install kitchens, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, windows, and fittings

·       Read and follow drawings, plans, and specifications

·       Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and related materials

·       Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely

·       Ensure workmanship meets quality and finish standards

·       Follow health and safety procedures on site

·       Assist with renovations, alterations, and new builds

·       Maintain a clean and safe work area


Skills and Experience Required

Essential

·       Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter, Joiner, or Installer

·       Knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques

·       Ability to read and understand drawings and measurements

·       Good practical skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Basic understanding of workplace health and safety

·       Full NZ driver licence (or ability to obtain one)

Desirable

·       Trade qualification in Carpentry or Joinery

·       LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) or working towards it

·       Experience with residential and commercial projects

Location of work :- Please note due to nature of work you may need to travel on different locations for measurements, installations, and framing. Accomodation and other expenses will be provided by the company.
