Courier Driver

The courier driver will perform the following duties but are not limited to:

• Delivering parcels, ensuring they’re delivered safely.
• On your feet for the full and busy shift, and lifting.
• Using handheld scanners to log information.
• Loading, transporting, and delivering items in a safe and timely manner.
• Loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and escalating any complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Keeping & maintaining records of items received and delivered.
• Assisting with receipting inward mail, checking wrongly addressed, missorted, undelivered, and redirected mail, and processing Freepost and underpaid mail.
• Sorting and sequencing items for delivery.

Skills Needed:

• At least 3 years work experience as a Courier Driver
• Physically fit, able to lift parcels.
• Computer literate to use scanner technology and tracking deliveries as required.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Be able to travel to different locations and to clients within Auckland region.
• Good Team member with a Can-do approach.
• Strong work ethic, to work well within a team.
• Able to work on weekends, & Public Holiday.
• Able to work on the rotational roster with an early start and/or late finish according to the workload.
• Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test.
• Able to pass Ministry of Justice or Police Check.

The hourly rate for this position ranges between 23.50 per hour and 24 per hour.
