We are a well-established construction company based in Auckland. With many current projects around Auckland, we are recruiting 4 Plasterboard fixers to join our team.

We offer from $25 to $31 an hour and minimum 30 to maximum 40 hours per week.

  • Read the building plan to determine the ways of installation, determine plasterboard layout
  • Measure accurately, cut the plasterboard accurately
  • Remove old plaster, lift and position panels, secure them to walls, ceilings
  • Install all types of gib boards and systems.
  • Prepare corner beads and secure them in position
  • Fix pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
  • Cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smooth them using wet brushes and sandpaper
  • Mix and apply coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smooth coats
  • Plumb and straighten corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfaces
  • Apply and finish acoustic, add decorative effects, apply insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials
  • Adhere to Health and safety procedures. 

Requirements:

  • ·        At least 2 years of experience in plasterboard, gib fixing or in construction site.
  • ·        Must be physical fit
  • ·        Great attention to details and teamwork
  • ·        Be able to work from Monday to Saturday
