We are seeking a skilled and motivated building technician to join our team. In this role, you will support project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. You’ll play a key part in delivering residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading drawing plans and specifications

  • Construction, installation and repair of wall framining, floor joints, foundations, framework and formwork. Installation of frames, rafters and trusses, dry wall (Gib), wall insulation, wall claddings etc.

  • Laying concrete, paving,  flooring, carpets and tiles. 
  • Applying plaster and cement coatings to walls. Painting and applying wallpaper to walls and surfaces.
  • Assist with preparation of surfaces, roads, driveways, pavements etc.
  • Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as barricades and scaffolding.

  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and construction technology (GPS, laser levels, etc.)

  • Assist with Installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair and maintenance.
  • Assist in preparation of site by loading and unloading construction materials and equipment ensuring they are readily available.
  • Operate machinery safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Any other duties as required by site management. 
  • Take care of own health and safety duties
  • Follow all site regulations and Helath and Safety policies and procedures. 
  • Always wear appropriate P.P.E

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 2 years construction experience or relevant level 4 qualification

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment

  • Ability to read plans, drawings.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Healthy & Safety conscious

What We Offer

  • Pay: $26 - $32

  • Days and Hours of work: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work, Minimum of 30 hours
