Southern Pacific Construction Limited is a well-established construction company. Due to our business expansion, we are looking for Quantity Surveyors to join our friendly team in Auckland.

 

What you will do but not limited to the following:

 

  • Prepares cost estimates for construction projects based on varying levels of design
  • Prepares detailed cost plans for budgetary control, including bills of quantities, and manages progress payments
  • Monitors the project through the construction phases and adjusts cost based on variations
  • Participate in stage inspections and carry out QS duties for interim and final accounts, ensuring strict control of payment processes
  • Prepares tender documents and evaluates contractor bids
  • Review progress claims, subcontractor payments, variations, and change orders specific to construction projects
  • Conduct cost tracking and analysis, provide real-time updates against target budgets, and recommend cost optimization strategies
  • Maintain accurate cost control and investment records and prepare QS-related reports
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required

 

Suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Either have at least three years of relevant experience or a bachelor degree
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong and polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • A positive attitude and proactive approach

 

What we can offer:

 

  • Full time employment: in Auckland
  • Hourly rate: $35/hour gross - $40/hour gross
  • Hours of week per week: a minimum of 30 hours, no more than 45 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Over time maybe expected
