Job Description : 

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • Reviewing blueprints and plans to identify necessary materials, measurements and installation methods.

  • Procuring and choosing interior and exterior timber and other materials, then designing and marking layouts.

  • Shaping and cutting materials, followed by assembling and securing the prepared components.

  • Constructing frameworks and roof structures, installing sub-flooring and floorboards, and ensuring the accuracy of the building.

  • Attaching fascia boards, roofing panels, exterior wall coverings, ceilings, as well as5.fitting door and window frames.

  • Putting together pre-cut wood pieces to create structures and fixtures ready for installation.

  • Constructing formwork for concrete construction.

  • Repairing and replacing existing structures and fixtures.

  • Other duties if required by the manager.

Job pre-requisites: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in building new or completing renovations/repairs (experience gained in the same industry or business will be considered as meeting the experience requirements), or a relevant NZ national level 4 certificate

  • Being physically fit and able to work at weekends

  • Job Salary : $30.00 - 33.00

  • Full time:  30 - 50 hours per week

  • Working place: Auckland Region
