Diesel Mechanic is required to:
· Work on a wide range of heavy diesel machines/vehicles such as Trucks and Diggers and use test equipment to detect and diagnose machinery faults in parts and engines
· Dismantle and remove diesel engine assemblies and mechanisms and other components for inspection
· Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components to ensure all mechanical installations and repairs are carried out to the highest standard
· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services for various machinery and engines, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of diesel vehicles
· Ensure all important parts and potential troublesome areas are examined and diagnosed, keep proper maintenance record
· Test drive after mechanical parts or internal diesel engines being repaired or adjusted for proper performance
· Provide heavy diesel machinery/vehicles maintenance and repair services for clients on a regular base
Here’s what we need from you:
· Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same field/industry, OR
· Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
