Chaos Construction Limited based in Westgate, Auckland, is specialized in residential construction and renovation projects. We are looking for four Carpenters to join our awesome team. 

You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region, a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to work on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $27.00-$32.00 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Study the specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare the project layout and determine the dimensions and the materials required

  • Shape or cut the materials to the specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw, or any other equipment needed

  • Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes

  • Make doors, window frames, staircases, and fitted furniture as required

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants

  • At least two years of work experience as carpenter or construction worker or similar is required

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is a bonus.

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role

  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
