Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Draftsman with a strong background in Air Handling Units (AHUs) to take ownership of our drawing office and lead its development into the future.

This is a hands-on role combining high-quality drafting with leadership and process improvement. You will produce and review manufacturing drawings, mentor the production team, and drive the adoption of 3D modelling and Revit workflows.

Our current drafting function has focused on maintenance. We need someone who can lead, modernise, and set new standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Detailing of Products for Manufacture

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D production drawings 

• Prepare bills of materials and ensure documentation is complete and timely.

• Lead and develop the drafting team, introducing best practices and standards.

• Drive the transition to Revit and advanced 3D workflows.

1. Production Engineering

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project requirements.

• Implement quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience or a relevant diploma

• Experienced mechanical or HVAC draftsman with strong technical skills.

• Proficient in AUTOCAD and 3D modelling; REVIT experience highly valued.

• Ability to take initiative and lead change within a team.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experienced and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and meeting deadlines.

• Proven experience in drafting and detailing Air Handling Units (AHUs) and associated HVAC components.

Work Environment & Schedule:

• This is a full-time, permanent role based in the office.

• The role is designed to be a five-day-a-week position.

• This is a full-time role, minimum 40 hours per week.
