We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented position Panel beater, Collision Repairer and Sandblasting Repairer (2 positions) to join our team in Auckland. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in repairing, restoring, and replacing damaged vehicle body panels, with a strong focus on precision and quality. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are professionally repaired to the highest industry standards. Permanent, Full-Time, guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove damaged panels, parts, upholstery and accessories to access damaged areas.
- Remove dents, straighten deformations and reshape damaged panels by hammering or using mechanical / hydraulic equipment.
- Perform sandblasting on vehicle panels, chassis components, and metal parts to remove rust, paint, and surface contaminants.Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently, following all protective and environmental guidelines
- Replace badly damaged sections using new or second-hand panels; cut, shape, weld, or bond replacement panels as required.
- Fill depressions and imperfections with plastic filler; grind, sand and finish repaired surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing.
- Fit repaired or replacement panels and refit body hardware (doors, locks, trims, etc.) to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Assist in custom or vintage vehicle restoration and may participate in spray-painting or liaise with paint team when required.
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of bodywork repairs required
- Remove, repair, straighten, and replace metal, fibreglass, and plastic panels.
- Use mechanical, hydraulic, and welding equipment to restore vehicle structure and body alignment
- Shape, fill, sand, and prepare repaired surfaces for painting
- Fit and align replacement panels, doors, trims, and components
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:
• Have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in collision repair, panel beating, or vehicle body restoration, sandblasting or hold a relevant qualification at level 4 or above
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and precision in all repair tasks
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Be a reliable team player with a proactive and positive attitude
