About the position
We are importers and distributors of agricultural machinery from a German manufacturer. We have been cooperating with the German manufacturer for over 40 years. 
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative & Customer Services Manager. The position encompasses technical sales, customer consultation, service and workshop work, liaison with German manufacturer and product-related development. 

  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed. 
  • Employee me be required to travel.

Applicants must have:

  • Must be physically fit 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test 
  • At least two years of experience in the technical sales of agricultural machinery
  • Engineering or Agricultural Bachelor Degree
  • Proven product experience with feed mixers, manure spreaders, loading wagons and tippers
  • Good technical and mechanical understanding of agricultural technology
  • Practical experience in service, operation of agricultural machinery
  • Sound knowledge of agricultural operations, especially in animal husbandry and feed logistics
  • Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, to communicate with the manufacturer in Germany.
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented work style
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the region

Tasks and responsibilities
Technical Sales & Customer Management
•    Acquisition of new customers and long-term support of existing customers.
•    Expert advice on the selection, configuration and use of specialised agricultural machinery
•    Conducting company visits, needs analysis and machine demonstrations
•    Conducting contract negotiations, including pricing and financing models.
•    Strategic expansion and sustainable development of customer relationships
Technical Service & Reporting
•    Technical support for machines in the field and coordination of service operations
•    Creation of technical service reports, documentation and structured feedback
•    Analysis of technical problems and coordination of solutions with workshop and manufacturer
Workshop work & practical technique
•    Active participation in the workshop, in particular:
o    Assembling machinery
o    Commissioning, calibration and optimisation of machines
o    Diagnosis and troubleshooting of technical malfunctions
o    Technical quality control
Product Development & Market Feedback
•    Participation in the further development of existing machines and the design of practical improvements.
•    Adapting machine concepts to the requirements of the New Zealand market
•    Systematic feedback on market, service and user experiences to the manufacturer
•    Support for product launches and technical innovations
International cooperation
•    Ongoing professional exchange with the German manufacturer, particularly in the following areas:
o    Technical service and fault analysis
o    Product management and product development
o    Sales strategy and market positioning
•    Function as a technical and commercial interface between New Zealand and Germany
