We are currently seeking a qualified Store Manager to join our dynamic team in Hamilton. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations and Service Standards

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure compliance with brand standards, operational manuals, and procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service in line with the company’s service expectations and guidelines.

  • Ensure the store is clean, well-organised, and presented in accordance with the company standard.

  • Implement company promotions and operational instructions accurately and on time.

Inventory and Supply Management

  • Manage stock ordering and receiving.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimising waste and spoilage.

  • Follow purchasing procedures to support efficient inventory turnover and cost control.

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Support front-line operations during peak periods to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally and in a timely manner.

  • Promote a positive customer experience to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty, in line with service standards.

Financial and Record Management

  • Maintain accurate daily records of sales, stock usage, and cash handling.

  • Monitor labour costs, food costs, and operating expenses to meet business targets.

  • Reconcile daily takings and ensure secure cash handling and timely banking.

  • Prepare basic operational and performance reports

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Recruit, train, roster, and supervise store staff in accordance with operational needs.

  • Provide ongoing training to ensure staff comply with standard operating procedures and food safety requirements.

  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance or conduct issues as required.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and productive workplace culture.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and employment obligations.

  • Identify potential hazards and take appropriate steps to minimise risks in the workplace.

  • Maintain required compliance records and ensure staff follow all safety and hygiene procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Business Management (or higher qualification) AND at least three years of relevant work experience in a similar business.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of retail stock systems, budgeting, and marketing.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
