About the position
A versatile and safety-focused General Trades Technician with demonstrated expertise
in equipment operation, technical support, and trade-related tasks across diverse work
environments. Material handling, and performing a broad range of manual and technical
duties, including assembly, installation, repairs, and routine maintenance. Adept at
working independently or within teams, with a strong commitment to meeting
deadlines, upholding workplace safety, and delivering high-quality outcomes

  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed. 
  • Employee may be required to travel.

Applicants must have:

  • Must be physically fit 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test 
  • Tertiary education;and/or
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and manual handling procedures
  • Technical/mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently and solve practical problems on-site
  • Familiarity with warehouse, logistics, or construction environments
  • Basic welding, fabrication, or maintenance experience (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with forklift operators helping them to sort loads with wrapping and
    loading up pallets of stock.
  • Perform general trade and technical duties, including assembly, installation,
    maintenance, and basic fabrication
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and job specifications to
    determine job requirements
  • Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of tools, equipment, and
    machinery
  • Assist with construction, repairs, and installation of equipment or structures as
    directed
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of tools, machinery, and materials
    in compliance with WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) regulations.
  • Record work activities, maintenance checks, equipment usage, and timesheets
    accurately.
  • Communicate eQectively with tradespeople, supervisors, and team members to
    coordinate job tasks.
  • Contribute to process improvements, workplace eQiciency, and safety initiatives.
  • assisting in the continued maintenance of our steel concrete stock trough
    mounts, our specialised vibrating table for our concrete trough lids.
  • On going repairs on our 4 tonne forklifts {TCM and Toyota} and fully
    encouraged with the development of any new moulds required for our
    concrete products.
  • With concrete trough production manufactured on 2 other sites within our
    group at present he may be required to travel to these sites and be required to
    assist in production and on-going steel mould repairs and look at the
    efficiencies and see whether there is room for improvement in our production
    cycle. If demand increases, required to assist in the development of a new
    manufacturing facility and setting up the machinery for production.
  • From time to time, may be required to travel to our other yards to assist with
    the repairs to our wood peeler and wood pointer.
  • Simple explanation on this is, tree trunks go in and get the bark peeled of and
    sized then go through to be pointed for fence posts.
  • This is a very specialised roll working with different types of machinery in our
    factorys.
