Formwork Carpenter Wanted
Eternity Construction Ltd is a well-established construction project management company specialising in residential projects across New Zealand. Due to business growth, we are seeking a Formwork Carpenter to join our Auckland team.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Hourly rate: $28 to $32 depending on experience
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours

Duties:

• Study construction drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, layout, and installation procedures for formwork.
• Select and prepare timber and materials, and lay out structures for concrete foundations, slabs, driveways, and other poured-in-place works.
• Cut, shape, and assemble timber components, including cutting wood joints, and nail or fasten parts to construct formwork and related structures.
• Erect and secure timber formwork, verifying alignment, level, and structural accuracy.
• Set formwork for concrete foundations and driveways, considering correct slope, angles, and drainage requirements.
• Perform quality control on formwork to ensure compliance with drawings and structural standards before concrete pouring.
• Construct and adjust concrete formwork as required and repair existing timber structures or fittings when necessary.
• Operate hand and power tools safely, maintain a clean worksite, and apply independent judgment to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Requirements:

• Relevant Level 4 or above qualification or at least 1 year of relevant construction experience.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work outdoors.
