We are looking for a transport manager for our company based in Wellington. 

An ideal applicant must have at least two years of transport industry experience.  

As part of the role, the Transport Company Manager will be responsible for overseeing fleet management, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and regularly inspected. This includes arranging necessary repairs and scheduling routine maintenance to keep the fleet in optimal condition.

The manager will ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, maintaining high standards across all operations.

Staff management forms a significant aspect of the position, involving the preparation of work schedules and the organisation of team members to ensure efficient workflow. It is essential to verify that all drivers and operators hold the correct, up-to-date licences and endorsements required for their roles.

Accurate record keeping is also a fundamental duty, with the manager responsible for maintaining and completing all necessary documentation.

A key part of the position includes liaising with customers, staff, and other stakeholders to guarantee the smooth delivery of services and goods.

Additionally, the manager may be required to cover delivery routes on rare occasion, should there be any gaps in staffing for specific routes.
