Job Description:

Extrastaff, a Labour Hire Company, is hiring Driver Operators to work across multiple regions of New Zealand on high-demand residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. We are looking for reliable, professionals. Positions are full-time and permanent, with site location based on project demand. This role is ideal for experienced Driver Operators open to relocating or travelling as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive & Operate company vehicles and specialised equipment, including road sweepers, sump trucks, vacuum trucks, flushing trucks, hydro excavation units and other company vehicles 
  • Perform operational tasks such as flushing, vacuum loading, hydro excavation 
  • Collect and clear roadside litter, empty litter bins and remove discarded household and other waste materials 
  • Ensure vehicles, plant, tools and equipment are kept clean, well maintained and in good condition 
  • Work effectively across different job sites and environments


 

  • Carry out additional duties as required to support operational needs


 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 1 Year relevant work experience 
  • Full, clean and current drivers license (minimum class 2) 
  • A working knowledge of day to day planning of jobs and following work instructions to meet contract specs 
  • Ability to work independently and travel between job sites 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work 


Nationwide Opportunity and Travel:

Although this role is listed in Nelson - Tasman, we are recruiting for positions to be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements.For for clarification, these regions are 

North Island: 

Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawat?-Whanganui, Wellington.

South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
