About the opportunity:

 

Cuddon are looking for a Storeperson who can service customers and operate cutting equipment.

 

Role description:

 

This is a varied role, managing the store while serving a number of customer requirements (normally less than 10 per day). It require selection of steel materials and cutting to specific measurements for orders along with the invoicing to the customer.

 

Responsibilities will include:



  • Customer sales and sales orders,

 

  • Cutting of steel to length as per customer requirements and cutting lists provided for jobbing work,

 

  • Purchasing of steel,

 

  • Inwards and outwards steel deliveries,

 

  • Recording of all sales transactions through the internal computer system and

 

  • Managing agreed stock levels

 

  • Maintenance of the cutting equipment

 

  • Undertaking work in a safe manner meeting all H&S requirements

 

  • Operation of a forklift



Key skills / requirements:



  • Presentable to customers in a workshop/sales role

 

  • Accuracy with marking and cutting of stock steel

 

  • Accurate with stock, orders, pricing and sales

 

  • Does require some lifting

 

  • Forklift experience and license (ideally)
