We are looking for an Assistant Fleet Manager to manage a team of driver 

  • Processing customer invoicing and supplier invoices accurately

  • Supporting dispatch with job entry, scheduling admin, and general day-to-day tasks

  • Keeping job and operational data up to date

  • Supporting fleet admin tasks such as fuel cards, RUCs and registrations

  • Acting as a second set of hands for dispatch the job 

  • Helping in the yard when needed, including loader work (training provided if required)

  • Working with drivers, suppliers, and depot staff to keep information flowing and jobs on trac

  • Overseeing the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles
  • Managing the maintenance, repair and servicing of fleet vehicles
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations and organisational policies related to fleet management
  • Developing and implementing strategies for improving fuel efficiency and reducing environmental impact
  • Coordinating and managing the use of fleet vehicles to optimise utilisation
  • Keeping accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance schedules and costs
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate contracts and secure the best deals for fleet vehicles
  • Managing the training and development of staff 
  • Implementing and maintaining fleet safety programs
  • Overseeing the fleet's insurance and registration processes
  • Monitoring and managing the fleet budget and costs
  • Implementing and managing systems for tracking and monitoring fleet vehicles.

Requiremnet for this position 

  • Have at least 2 years of experiences as a driver
  • Have a P Endorsement 
  • Numeracy excellence
  • Full clean NZ drivers' licence.
  • Exceptional communication skills

 
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with a 6-day roster (Sunday to Friday) on alternating weeks during our peak season September to December. Training management will be provided for the right candidates

  • The position is for a minimum of 30 hours per week and between $27 to $32 per hour for the right candidates with an opportunity to work and earn more during busy periods.
