We are seeking Security Guards for permanent full-time positions across various sites in Auckland CBD and surrounding areas. We are looking for professional, people-focused security personnel who can provide high-quality security services.
Hours of Work:
Full-time positions with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
Typical shifts are 8–12 hours
Flexible roster including days, nights, weekends, public holidays as required.
This position is open to all suitably qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of premises, car parks, and loading docks
Monitor and control access points and maintain visitor logs
Provide visible security presence to deter suspicious activity
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
Manage difficult situations professionally and de-escalate conflicts
Maintain crowd control during busy periods and events
Complete detailed incident reports and daily logs
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
Valid Certificate of Approval (COA) from PSPLA
2 years relevant security experience and Level 4 Qualification in any field
Current full New Zealand driver’s licence
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Physical fitness for patrol duties
Professional presentation and customer service skills
Availability for flexible hours (early mornings, late nights, weekends, public holidays)
Clean criminal record
Legal right to work in New Zealand
Desirable Qualifications
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
Current First Aid certificate
Conflict management or de-escalation training
Site Safe Passport

Salary Range: $29 – $32 per hour, depending on experience
