Siwalai Thai Massage is a well-established local Thai Massage shop in North Shore, Auckland. We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements 

• At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR

• A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR

• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

Specific Tasks

  • Massaging the soft tissues of the body to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance, or medical conditions.

  • Utilising a range of Thai massage techniques in the treatment.

  • Applying pressure to specific parts of the body to release muscle tension and bring relief from related symptoms.

  • Discuss client concerns, medical histories, and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to a massage treatment and provide rehabilitation advice.

  • Developing personalized treatment plans for individual clients that specify massage types, treatment areas and treatment frequency. 

  • Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms.

  • Preparing oil blends for clients’ skin and performing other treatment techniques and therapies in addition to massage.

General Tasks

  • Greeting customers when they come to our premises

  • Discussing/explaining the full details of traditional Thai Massage and answering any customer questions

  • Setting up for the start of business at the beginning of each day

  • Ensuring that premises are clean and tidy at all times/linens are washed etc

  • Taking bookings – via phone, website and walk-ins

  • Closing down the business when the owner or a manager is absent

  • Being responsible for building security when the owner or a manager is absent 

Other detail 

• This is a full-time and permanent position

• Wage payment will range from a minimum of $27 to a maximum of $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. You will receive weekly payments.

• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

• You will be working at 1/426 East Coast Road, Windsor Park, Auckland

• We are open from Tuesday to Friday 10.00 am – 9.00 pm, Saturday to Sunday 9.00 am – 9.00 pm

• You will work according to a roster, 5–6 days per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours (maximum of 48 hours per week)
