We are looking for a passionate Student Careers Counsellor to mentor students, guide their academic and career choices, and contribute to their journey toward top-tier universities. 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Student Careers Counsellor at Academic Ezy Group, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic and career development. Your responsibilities will include:

· Guiding students on academic and career pathways by assessing their abilities, interests, and potential, and providing tailored advice to help them reach top university admission goals.

· Sorting and delivering comprehensive advisory materials on study programs, research skill development, STEAM initiatives, and international learning experiences.

· Conducting one-on-one or small group counselling sessions to support students in self-development, goal setting, and academic planning.

· Collaborating with parents and teachers to assist with understanding students’ needs, supporting their academic growth, and improving study strategies.

· Architecting individualized roadmaps for each student, including guidance on university selection, application strategy, and skill enhancement.

· Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to ensure students remain on track to achieve their academic and career objectives.

· Supporting students’ personal growth and motivation, helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and cultivate independent learning and research skills.

· Conducting ongoing analysis of evolving global education landscapes and tertiary admission policies to ensure advisory services remain at the forefront of relevance and strategic advantage for students.

 

Pay rate: minimum  $ 35.00/hour- maximum $ 40.00/hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 30 hours

 

Key Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher, majors in Education, Psychology or related fields preferred; or at least three years of relevant work experience.

· Full time availability and no criminal record.

· Excellent communication and counselling skills, able to effectively engage with students, parents, and teachers.

· Responsible, patient, and able to monitor student progress while providing ongoing support.

· Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
