JOB OPPORTUNITY - HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC

Location: Kaitaia Employment Type: Full-time (permanent)

FNR GROUP run a diverse fleet of trucks, earthmoving gear, and agricultural machinery that keeps our business moving. To keep everything in top condition, we’re looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic who can handle a wide variety of servicing, repairs, and breakdowns.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, earthmoving equipment, and Civil machinery.
  • Carry out routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, filters, tyres, etc.).
  • Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete on-site/field repairs when required.
  • Perform compliance and safety checks to ensure all vehicles and machines meet legal standards.
  • Keep accurate service records, job cards, and parts usage.
  • Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient workshop environment.

 

      What We're Looking For

  • Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or proven industry experience).
  • Solid skills across heavy trucks, diggers/loaders, and farm machinery.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities.
  • A team player with a commitment to health and safety
  • A full driver's license (Class 2/4/5 and/or WTR endorsements an advantage).
  • Be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug test.
