Dreamhands Tattoo Studio is seeking a skilled Tattoo Artist to join our professional team in Auckland. The successful applicant will create high-quality custom tattoos while maintaining safe, hygienic, and compliant studio practices. This role requires artistic ability, technical precision, and strong client-service skill

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create custom tattoo designs based on client consultations

• Execute tattoos with precision, consistency, and professional technique

• Maintain strict hygiene and sterilisation procedures, including equipment cleaning and safe disposal of materials

• Provide clients with clear pre-care and after-care instructions

• Manage client bookings, consent forms, and client records

• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow all health and safety requirements

• Maintain a professional tattoo portfolio and keep skills current

• Support a respectful and collaborative studio environmentTerms and Conditions of Employment

• Pay rate: $30.00 per hour  • Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

• Location of work: Dreamhands Tattoo Studio, AucklandMinimum Skills and Experience Required

• At least six (6) months of professional experience as a Tattoo Artist, supported by a portfolio of completed work, or a relevant diploma-level qualification (for example, in art, design, or a related field).

• Knowledge of tattooing techniques, skin anatomy, colour theory, and safe work practices
 • Understanding of blood-borne pathogen safety and health regulations

• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear client guidance

 • Ability to work independently and manage appointments effectively

•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

• Ability to obtain a New Zealand Police Clearance or equivalent overseas police certificate
