Join our dynamic team as a Welder based in Auckland. You will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Your working hours will be minimum 30 hours and maximum 35 hours from Monday to Sunday as per roster.

 

Job Duties:

·        Responsible for Fixing the damaged shipping containers which includes small to big dents.

·        Maintain and repair the doors of shipping containers and make them Wind and Watertight.

·        Inspect and change the roofs of leaky shipping containers.

·        Welding and fixing the cracks on chassis of trailers and trucks, make them roadworthy and upto NZ standards.

·        Responsible for Weld and Fix the rusty spoiled areas on trucks and trailers.

·        Repair any damaged caused by the trucks on customer’s sites like; the gates, fences any other damage.  

Key Requirements:

·        Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience or must have a level 4 Diploma or higher qualification in Welding

·        Able to work under pressure, should have ability to manage time effectively, particularly in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

·        Applicants must have a clean background with no criminal record.

·        Strict zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use in the workplace.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $32- $40 per hour.
