We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Metal Fascia Conversion Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible to provide the trade skills, knowledge, experience and competency to convert old metal internal gutter systems to the new RIGS external metal fascia system.  This role will also include installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial spouting/fascia and downpipe systems which will comply with the specified requirements of the contract works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install new spouting/guttering & fascia systems to specifications from consented building plans from council
  • Physical evaluation of buildings to determine the layout of roofing systems, evaluate water damage problems and order materials required
  • Dismantling existing rainwater systems, replacing water damaged timber framing
  • Erecting framework and roof framing and verifying trueness of structures
  • Fabricating and installing metal roofing, rainwater spouting, fascia panels and flashings
  • Make repairs to exterior wall cladding and door and window frames as required
  • Remove, repair, or replace existing spouting, fascia & downpipes
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
  • Ensure all work meets safety and building standards
  • Diagnose and resolve drainage or water-flow issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient worksite
  • Provide excellent customer service & communication with site staff and managers on each project
  • Study architectural plans, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of drainage systems and materials required for setting out

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have 4 years + experience in spouting/fascia & downpipe installation as an independent contractor or employee
  • Must have 2 years + experience in Internal/External Gutter Conversion work or the RIGS Fascia Conversion System
  • Knowledge in roofing installation and types of materials used
  • Confidence working at heights
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate competency in carpentry work. 
  • Ability to read job sheets, building plans and follow specifications
  • Good physical fitness
  • Full driver’s licence
  • Pre-employment drug testing and criminal record checks is required as part of the hiring process

Must Have

  • EWP license or working-at-heights certification
  • Experience with metal fascia installation
  • Knowledge of different spouting/fascia materials (e.g., Colorsteel, PVC, copper and aluminium)
  • Own tool kit and demonstrate a competency and skill in their use
  • Able to start immediately
